I personally use fabric for my mods. Get it here. Download and run the fabric executable. Windows will block it as a “virus” but press keep anyway and open the jar.

In the installer select the Minecraft version, Install location and press the install button. You should get a successfully installed pop up asking that you install the fabric api into the mods folder. At this point launch minecraft and run the launcher profile of fabric.
Once mc has loaded close it and install your mods. To get to your mods folder press win + r and type %appdata% into the pop up window.

This will bring up a folder and at the top you should see “.minecraft”. open this folder and then the “mods” folder inside of that. I use the following mods
- Voxelmap – Basic minimap and fullscreen map
- Optifine – Fps optimisations
- Roughly Enough Items – Recipe and item menu and search
- HYWYLA – Tells you what you’re looking at
- Inventory Profiles – Inventory tweaks, sorting and moving
- Fabric API – Required by fabric and most mods
To download all of these go to this google drive folder. Download all of these files and place them in the mods folder. Otherwise go to the download sites for each file you want and download the ‘Fabric’ version of the files.
Launch Minecraft and your add fabric loader as an installation. you should be ready to run.
